Typically, treatment for an active infestation of common furniture beetle or deathwatch beetle would involve the removal of any damaged timber, and treatment with and insecticide. At Pass & Co. our trained professionals provide a low odour, two hour wood preservative or insecticide, for treatment of beetle infestation and some dry rot treatments.

Frequently asked questions

The chemicals we use do have a slight odour, however we can reduce this with proper ventilation.

We do use pre-treated timbers, however, we also treat the timbers with our own chemicals.

Depending on the exact type of chemical treatment needed re-entry times can vary. You may need to vacate the property for up to 24 hours but other treatment can take as little as 3 hours. We will always advise you before carrying out the treatment. Also, we would advise pets are vacated from the property.
